A Basic course in Art and Design through English
New Drawing and Painting is a six-level basic course in Art and Design through English. The course stimulates creativity and imagination through visual, tactile and sensory experiences.
New Drawing and Painting combines content and language objectives in carefully organised units of study. Each unit is divided into four parts:
- Look! observation of authentic works of art leads to presentation of topics.
- Explore! experimentation with materials and processes develops art skills and consolidates language.
- Create! an opportunity to communicate ideas, feelings and meanings through art and English.
- Evaluate! reflection on personal work and materials.
